A grainy in-theater version has leaked early, given the quality of these things, this one is pretty watchable. Lots of new footage and a lot more of the storyline in this trailer. Including a shot of Devastator climbing up a pyramid.

UPDATE: Changing video source to one that works, though sound is out of sync:

The footage from the Las Vegas ShoWest 2009 is now online for all to see, published to MichaelBay.com. As previously described, the footage opens with Bumblebee and Sam discussing his leaving for college and the already infamous crying with washer fluid, before jumping into a montage of robot awesomeness. Typically this massive news appears on the weekend I am out in the country without internet access.
We get to see Devastator, Jetfire, Wheels, Chromia, Megatron smashing Optimus Prime across a field, The Fallen, Skids, Mudflaps, Sideswipe, possibly Blackout, Scalpel, Bumblebee and more.

Note in this first image the painting — back in December we reported on a possible Fallen scoop that looked to all extents and purposes to be a fake (see bottom of this post) — the picture matches the one in the screenshot.
Original Fallen scoop images:
Blackout or Springer
Blackout, the first active Decepticon in the first movie looks to now appear in Revenge of the Fallen, but the rotary blades are much smaller, some suggest this is instead Springer.
Megatron
Images courtesy of The Cinema Source, showing Megatron hammering Optimus Prime, sending him airborne and flying across a field.
Rampage
This one isn’t so clear but it appears to be Bumblebee and possibly Rampage dueling — judging by the flailing tracks.
Michael Bay recently screened his cut of Transformers 2, “Revenge of the Fallen” to executive producer Steven Spielberg in an empty Sony theater. He has reported back via his Shoot for the Edit forums stating that Speilberg called it “Awesome” and possibly Bay’s best. Work on a new trailer has just finished and it is set to appear before the new Wolverine movie, due for release on May 1st in the US.
Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said “It’s awesome”. He felt this movie was better than the first — and probably my best, who knows — at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I’m going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks — no you are not invited, yet.
We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It’s 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon.
Now that our 1080p high resolution trailer is out on Yahoo, it’s time for 70 odd high resolution screenshots that pick out the key parts of the trailer:

While we wait for the official high quality version of the trailer, Behind the Films have provided a much cleaner, watchable version, although still recorded in a cinema. The constructicon’s transformation, The Fallen at the pyramids and Scorponok are all much easier to make out in this copy:
Not as hard hitting as the Superbowl teaser was in terms of the wow that’s huge factor, this trailer has more of the slowly-building up and impending doom feeling.
Key points highlighed by NightShade87 over at TLAMB:
Here are some key points in the video that I suggest taking a closer look at. I’ve provided the times at which some of newer ones occur, and my own thoughts as well).
– The beginning opens up in France (notice the Eiffel tower in the background) and two protoforms are seen falling out of the sky (in broad daylight no less) and one strikes a building.
– Switches to show the pyramids and aircraft carrier-It then looks like there may be a total of 4? protoforms landing in Egypt.
– Then we go back to scene of the aircraft carrier, which is sunk by more protoforms (if I counted 6 in this shot, that would make a grand total of 12 protoforms causing some kind of destruction, whether intended or not.)
– At 0:55 you can very clearly see one of the three Arcee cars that is chasing the Audi that just jumped through a building. (It looks to be a purple bike to me, but that could just be the light. And Boo was right; it does look like she’s some type of unicycle, or at least a third of her robot form.)-We get to see a semi-full transformation for the RH-400 and Bay wasn’t lying when he said that thing was huge!-Sam again tells his dad to run, but then Ron gives his own idea of what they should do.
– At 1:18 you see Sam taking apart a mechanical bug, though I don’t know exactly what type (something with wings. I also thought I saw a miniature satellite on there, but not sure)
– At 1:28 we finally see Bumblebee for the first time. He’s transforming in what looks like the Witwicky’s backyard in plain view of Sam’s dad in broad daylight. He then shoots at something off screen.
– At 1:33 we get the first notice of Scorpinok in Egypt it looks like, jumping at another robot. Can’t tell who at this point. But very pointy edges. Starscream? The Audi? Jetfire?
– 1:38. I think that this is our first very distorted but nonetheless glimpse of what the Fallen looks like. I’m only saying that because numerous spots on the body look like they’re glowing red (indication of flames?)
– Much of the rest has already been shown, except for starting at 1:47, which gives us a different angle on Optimus approaching [the Constructicon]. You can see him sliding a few seconds later much like he did when fighting Bonecrusher on the highway in the first movie. All in all, I think this whets the appetite pretty nicely for TF fans. Sorry about the quality and the shakiness of the video.
Conebone69 at the SHH forums has a friend at a local theater that has seen the newest Transformers trailer, he gives this description:
I talked to my friend that works at a local theater over here and he told me the new T2 trailer was with an early screening of the upcoming movie Friday the 13th! He said it went by very fast but he managed to catch a few things. Supposedly it starts out with Sam talking to Mikaela about how they cant give up. He said it starts out slow but as it progresses it gets alot faster. Then towards the middle a series of clips are shown: a bunch of autobots jumping all over this huge decepticon but he just picks them up and throws them off, Bumblebee battling with ravage (im guessing it was ravage because he said it looked like a lion), some transformers crashing out of a high building and transforming in mid air. Then it ended with optimus prime talking to another autobot. He said it didnt show much more then what was shown in the superbowl spot but it was still epic. I cant wait for this trailer!
