The clip shows us:
– Sam and Megan hiding from Decepticons
– Starscream, Longhaul (first proper look), Ravage and others tear apart the city searching for them
– An insecticon flies in through a whole, Sam catches it and squishes it but it’s already too late
– Starscream tears the roof off and Sam and Megan run

The trailer contains: a longer cut of BB in the garage (shorter than showest though), sideswipe doing his thing, a new shot of Arcee, both of the twins talking (something about not being able to read), extended shot in the school library, and more that I can’t remember. At my local theater, I had the opportunity to prescreeen a copy of Night at the Museum 2 and the new cut trailer was on there. Some of the footage was old, but more than half was new. Here’s what I remember seeing that was of note:

–Bumblebee crying (Showest footage)
–Twins actually speaking (Sam shows them a tattoo on his arm and they say they can’t read. If you listen VERY closely, one of them sounds like Spongebob. XD )
–Galloway and Epps having a conversation that goes like this
“It looks like a normal truck“
*Optimus transforms* (this is a better, fuller version than the T.V. spot)
Epps: “Freaky, right?“
–Better images of Arcee, but I didn’t see her fully combined.

Don’t remember if there was anything else noteworthy, but I’ll make a second look just in case. Please remember that trailers are only selective to certain theaters and it may or may not be on the Night At the Musuem 2 that you watch.

A grainy in-theater version has leaked early, given the quality of these things, this one is pretty watchable. Lots of new footage and a lot more of the storyline in this trailer. Including a shot of Devastator climbing up a pyramid.

Update: New Transformers 2 trailer leaked early (29th April 2009)

The footage from the Las Vegas ShoWest 2009 is now online for all to see, published to MichaelBay.com. As previously described, the footage opens with Bumblebee and Sam discussing his leaving for college and the already infamous crying with washer fluid, before jumping into a montage of robot awesomeness. Typically this massive news appears on the weekend I am out in the country without internet access.

We get to see Devastator, Jetfire, Wheels, Chromia, Megatron smashing Optimus Prime across a field, The Fallen, Skids, Mudflaps, Sideswipe, possibly Blackout, Scalpel, Bumblebee and more.

Blackout or Springer

Blackout, the first active Decepticon in the first movie looks to now appear in Revenge of the Fallen, but the rotary blades are much smaller, some suggest this is instead Springer.

Megatron
