As part of the pro­mo­tion for the new Trans­form­ers DVD releases, Wal­mart has a new flash sec­tion on their site that is promis­ing to release new, offi­cial, behind the scenes footage from Trans­form­ers 2. A new video will be added each week.“Have fun, keep it safe”. The first video is set at the Beth­le­hem Steel works and is titled “On the set: Day 1″. This is our first look at the motor­bikes and their crazy color schemes — bright pink, pur­ple and blue — we see them speed­ing past us as an Audi R8 skids out of the way. We also see a large group of sol­diers with an assort­ment of weapons, some car­ry­ing Mini guns and of course, there is another big explosion!

I think all we need now is a com­plete, Matrix style 3D ver­sion of this blast. This is another video from fmd805 and comes via TLAMB.

It feels like a game of Burnout — 100 points for a Tanker… crash­breaker! This is a SECOND explo­sion, a chain reac­tion of sorts.

This is a down the road shot of an oncom­ing Tanker (seen here) that encoun­ters the wreck­age of the pre­vi­ous car explo­sion (High Res video of that blast show­ing car flip), and inevitably col­lides directly with it, explod­ing all over the place with a giant plumage of black smoke — set­ting car alarms off in the sur­round­ing vicin­ity. More cussing again…

Here are some more videos from the night. The first shows a prac­tice run before the big explo­sion. The sec­ond comes from Get­todeath and is more of the Auto­bot parade. The last one is a low qual­ity phone video of the bots being over­taken by a honk­ing Chevy Volt.

Robert from Mod­ern Myth has sent us this video show­ing the Auto­bot parade from higher up and a new pur­ple car that is being pre­pared for film­ing before dri­ving away, as the cam­era zooms in you can clearly see the Chevy’s “Volt” name on the rear.

This vehi­cle was pre­vi­ously con­firmed in July. Though this one does look a lot more slick than the con­cept image.

We knew that bet­ter footage of the explo­sion would be com­ing, and here it is, com­ing from fmd805 are three videos, the first shows the explo­sion from side on, the sec­ond shows the film­ing of the after­math and the third is more of the auto­bot fleet:

The next video is by the ever reli­able Get­todeath, via TLAMB, it warms up with some shots of Opti­mus Prime and down the road shots show­ing cars pulling away. It then cuts to a side angle which pre­cedes an almighty blast:

fq9 and Flickr user djlak­itu have posted new images from the Long Beach Trans­form­ers set, this time show­ing more Chi­nese sym­bols, ori­en­tal police cars, dirty auto­mo­biles with fur­ni­ture atop the roof, a crunched up taxi, the pre­vi­ously men­tioned flatbeds (set report), assorted auto­bots (albeit under­cover) and a tanker with two wholes cut out of the front and rear.

EDIT: A much bet­ter video of the Auto­bots “rolling out” has been pro­vided thanks to R. over at TLAMB, this video shows Bum­ble­bee, Opti­mus, the sil­ver Corvette, Iron­hide, the Chevy Beat and Chevy Trax all dri­ving in formation:

Here is our first video of the explo­sions down on the Queensway in Long Beach, sadly it was cap­tured on a phone cam­era and you need to tilt your head or rotate your screen to enjoy this one… . How­ever, it does get the money shot — show­ing the explo­sion right at the beginning.
