The LATimes are reporting, via Spider-man producer Laura Ziskin, that Spider-man 4 will be targeting a release date in May, 2011 — hoping that the movie would be ready in three years time. She also stated that the screenplay wasn’t yet completed.

As Sony will release Spider-Man 4 in Summer 2011 instead of Summer 2009 or Summer 2010 I heard that in Spider-Man 4 Carnage will be played by Jim Carrey the end titles of Spider-Man should have the Dolby Stereo logo
Spider-Man 4 was due to hit cinemas and IMAX on 6 May 2011 but no instead Sony have decided to ruin the series by rebooting the whole thing for a summer 2012 release with a new director and cast.
