TFormers have posted four images showing off what looks like Megatron’s rumored Tank Alt Mode. It’s a rather obscure looking tank with large yellow thrusters at the rear, large central cannon, possibly some firearms on the side of the vehicle as well, and Megatron’s big ugly head peaking out from the Tank’s crotch.
In Rome Frank Miller recently spoke about his upcoming movie, “The Spirit” but also took some time out to answer questions, one of them quizzing about Sin City 2:
I can’t talk about my projects, because I don’t believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong. But I can tell you that I’m very close to begin ‘Sin City 2′ with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we’ll be back in action.
Looks like things should start rolling in the next couple of months.
The Times Online are reporting that Tobey Maguire stands to earn $50m in salary and profit shares for filming Spider-man 4 and Spider-man 5 back to back over six months. As part of the deal Maguire has also been allowed time off during mornings and evenings to spend with his young daughter — an exceptional case due to the planned duration of the shoot.
“Tobey admits he is obsessive-compulsive about everything he does, and raising Ruby is no different,” a friend said last week. “There’s no way Tobey would allow work, no matter how well paid, to get between him and Ruby, and Sony realised that.”
As part of Walmart’s (password: AllSpark62609) Transformers DVD promotion they have released two new videos — the first shows some behind the scenes laughs and jesting between Shia and Megan Fox on a sunny day, the second is Megan Fox’s audition tape from the first movie.
A full length Transformers 2 trailer will be aired prior to the upcoming Star Trek movie, due May 8th 2009; likely to be the first full length trailer. That’s a pretty long wait, but /Film points out that this is a similar time frame to the original, which saw its first full length trailer released with Pirates of the Caribbean 3.
In anticipation of a Dark Knight awards push, our caped crusader shall be returning to the huge silver IMAX screens early in 2009, so report Reuters — just before the academy awards voting season begins. Whether traditional theaters shall also carry the re-release has not been clarified.
New cut?
So lets start the rumorang going around — what are your thoughts on the possibility of an alternative cut on the re-release? It would certainly get more bums on seats.
Titanic’s record
With a second release coming, could this push The Dark Knight beyond the coveted $600m mark?
A set of 11 videos from the Bethlehem Steel works set have been posted by YouTube user RodrigoNJ, in an obscure vertical format they show helicopters flying in to the location, filming, Michael Bay and most importantly, the two halves of the ice Cream truck split up, driving and spinning around independently!
This was previously reported on via the leaked Call Sheet, but never confirmed:
The scene breakdowns also reveal that the Icecream truck is a new robot — splitting in two (”twins”) around children whilst leaving them treats (comedy is back, excellent!).
