Kotaku had a chance to quiz head of Microsoft Game Studios Phil Spencer and vice president of Strategy and Business Development Shane Kim at E3, trying to draw out of them as much Halo information as possible — touching on the movie in the process.
We continue to be in discussions with various potential partners. We’re so excited about the idea. We don’t have anything specific to announce but I can tell you that their continues to be tremendous interest. We wanna make sure, whenever we translate it to the big screen that its going to be a movie worthy of the IP. So we’re going to be very careful about how we proceed there.

When movie and production people say they’re very “excited” and there is “tremendous interest”. It means nothing is happening.
I hate how they dodge questions to keep stuff under wraps…
and to that last comment…“EXCITED” is looking towards future\current events…otherwise, they would state it as “we WERE excited…” or say nothing at all about the topic.
On the topic on Interest, it means that they are TRYING to do something. There is NO sense of trying to tell plp that something is being worked on when its 100% canceled…like saying “Schools are open today after last nights snowstorm” and every child in the city making it to school to find out that they are really closed…left to freeze their heads off…-_–
The moment they say “Its canceled…” I’ll run in Microsoft studios and Master the hell outta every single one of them…(before security beats me to little itty bitty pieces before calling the police…)
