Last night was the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, usu­ally seen as a very good indi­ca­tion of who the Oscar win­ners shall be. Heath Ledger’s The Joker pulled through fend­ing off com­pe­ti­tion from the likes of Downey Jr. and Josh Brolin:

Out­stand­ing Actor In A Sup­port­ing Role

Heath Ledger — The Dark Knight
Phillip Sey­mour Hoff­man — Doubt
Dev Patel — Slum­dog Mil­lion­aire
Robert Downey Jr. — Tropic Thun­der
Josh Brolin — Milk
WINNER: Heath Ledger — The Dark Knight

The signs are look­ing good, and given TDK’s Best Pic­ture and Best Direc­tor snubs, all our chips and Heath Ledger’s are in on this one.

TDK also brought home a sec­ond award from the SAGs for “Out­stand­ing Per­for­mance by a Stunt Ensem­ble in a Motion Pic­ture”.

Dur­ing the viral mar­ket­ing cam­paign we were given this image of The Joker being chauffeured:

Chris has pointed out that this was not in the movie — maybe there are some more Joker scenes wait­ing for us on the DVD release, or a director’s cut? We can only hope. Where do you thing this would have fit into the movie?

I wish I hadn’t seen these. The French site, Lyri​cis​.fr have posted screen caps from The Dark Knight show­ing Two Face and The Joker in scenes that are VERY spoi­lerific. I warn you — look­ing at these images may be too much, they are also very graphic.

Wiz​arduni​verse​.com has posted a Q&A with Gary Old­man. He speaks a lit­tle about his char­ac­ter and role in the film, as well as Har­vey Dent and the Joker. The inter­view includes a few spoil­ers about the plot, so those of you that avoid such things may want to stay away.

A fairly large and detailed image has begun cir­cu­la­tion around the inter­net, claim­ing to be Two Face, as we shall see him in The Dark Knight. This image has the poten­tial to be spoi­lerific and it is also quite graphic, hence it is included after the break…

Analy­sis: The detail on this is astound­ing — enough to sug­gest that it is not a fake. It also looks like some sort of noise pho­to­shop fil­ter has been applied over the top — much like the leaked joker pic­tures we saw last month.

One of those that was lucky enough to be at the trailer’s screen­ing man­aged to get a low-quality record­ing of the footage, which has since been put up on YouTube in its ugly boot­legged for­mat. For those too impa­tient to see it, I include the video below (likely to be removed by the WB any time soon):

Cin­ema Blend are report­ing that, in pre­view screen­ings of The Dark Knight, most has gone down well — but one scene involv­ing Heath Ledger as The Joker has left peo­ple aghast. There are now rumors it shall be removed for the final cut. To save on the spoil­ers (it’s noth­ing too major), I’ve posted the details after the break.

In other news, the Dark Knight’s first review has sur­faced online, chock filled with spoil­ers and all in Por­tugese, which was found online. Bat­man On Film have posted a very loose trans­la­tion of this — do not read it if you want to enjoy the movie to its fullest. They claim ele­ments match infor­ma­tion that is cur­rently held secret, they are giv­ing it their back­ing and believe it to be gen­uine, I shall remain scep­ti­cal however.

It looks like the Jow Forums have leaked some very reveal­ing shots of The Joker in The Dark Knight, albeit with some pho­to­shop effects thrown over the top. They include scenes from the hos­pi­tal and the parade — they are major spoil­ers as to cer­tain events in the movie.

As these were leaked we shall not be post­ing them here. Cer­tain sites do still have them though. How­ever I rec­om­mend stay­ing away from these, if you can — these are things you’d want to see in the movie and not beforehand.
